【News】 China´s Tiens Group treated 6,400 employees to a four-day holiday in France to celebrate its 20-year anniversary. Chairman Li Jinyuan booked 140 hotels in Paris and 79 four- and five-star hotels in Cannes and Monaco. While in the southern resort town of Nice, the group entered the Guinness World Records book after forming the longest ever "human phrase," positioning themselves in groups that read "Tiens´ dream is Nice in the Cote d´Azur" in letters. The trip is expected to contribute EUR13m to France, not counting the shopping.

Luxury department store Galeries Lafayette closed its doors to all other shoppers so that the visitors could browse the aisles in relative peace. In Paris, the group had the famous Louvre museum to themselves for a private visit. The whole adventure began back in December when Atout France got wind that the Tiens boss wanted to celebrate the 20th birthday of his company in style. French authorities worked hard to narrow down his destination short-list, which had originally also included London and Rome.
