Starting June 1, new regulations on public swimming pools in Shanghai will take effect, aiming to make pools less crowded. According to the new standards, the number of people using a pool will be restricted to make sure that every user has no less than 2.5 sq m. So divide a pool´s area by 2.5, and we get the max load allowed. For example, 80 swimmers at the most will be able to use a 200-sq-m pool at the same time.
